ER Uvalde

ER Uvalde may be the best built gelding we have raised!  In our old Open Horse show days he would have put a wall of red ones on the trophy wall in many a halter class.  He has a ton of presence.  His sister ER Sugar Nugget was Marci’s reining mare and we found out she had a lot of cow when Marci went to the rein box class in the ARCHA and the World NRCHA show in San Angelo.  After riding Sugar Nugget and winning a Canadian NRCHA Regional Championship it was off to the brood mare pen for a mother moment.  After Jess Thomson showed Uvalde as a snaffle bitter Marci took over the steering papers.  As a snaffle bitter Uvalde was in tough as his stable mate ER U Talk Cash liked to teach him a lesson or two in the show ring.  Riding a young horse in the weekend shows on Uvalde was a training experience for Marci.  He was not as solid as his  sister Nugget but Marci had good rides and some colty moments.  All in all a decent four year old year.  At year end we had the opportunity to buy back a new mare (which we raised) for Marci to compete in 2011.  Jess roped off Uvalde and we entered him in the Premier Ranch Horse Competition at Northlands.  Jess and Ulvalde won the Ranch Horse Competition and he sold to a ranch horse world.  We know he will drive big value for his new owner.  Here he is in the winner’s circle with Jess.
