Have your girls told you that I
am really happy with Ribbons. We've
discovered that she is a cow eating machine. She loves to work cows
and
is very good at it. She is a sweetheart, I just have to remember
that
she is only three. I get a little too relaxed sometimes and that can
be
a bad thing. Like yesterday, I took her for a ride to check my cows.
I
know she has not been ridden alone in a pasture, but she goes so
nicely.
We were along a canal and some ducks flew up right beside us. I
should
have been on my butt in the grass, but somehow I stayed on. She sure
can
take off fast. Lucky for me she's so well trained that she stopped
as
soon as I could gather my wits.
I love my Ribbons.
Bye

Our three year old off EF Pepi
Kola is doing well, he is a big guy but
athletic with a good mind. His full brother, now a yearling is also
a
great looking horse. Very good-looking horse. We are not sure what
we
will be doing with him longer term... starting to get a bit over
horsed!

Hi Don and Marci,
Hope all is well at your place. I am sure loving Steady (ER
Rock
Steady). He is great to work with and a real quick learner!!
Rhonda
thinks he is awesome too!! We are going to try to get out to
Blacklands
next week and go in the boxing class, so that should be pretty
fun!!
Just checking to see what else you may have for sale. I have a
friend who is looking for a horse for herself. She just enjoys
riding
in the arena and hitting a few open shows and lots of trail riding.
She
was over last weekend and saw Steady and her and her daughter fell
in
love with him. I think she would prefer a mare around 3 or 4 and
something with a good quiet start. Not sure if you have anything
that
may fall into this category but I thought I would check.
Anyways, I am sure we will cross paths soon,
Enjoy the sun,
Bonnie
Thank You,
Bonnie Youngs

Arab division!
All quarter horses in Non Pro classes.
YYYYIIIPPPEEE it sure
works, not to blame the horse, eh???”

Hi Don
and Marci,
Just
came back from Fernie and was thinking I really should have called
to stop in and see you. I am not sure how many shows you made it
out too…this year just did not work out for me at hitting many. I
made it to one cowhorse and then the Cardston reining show. Steady
and I went in the green as grass!! We are going to try to make it
to the fall classic as well!! I have been riding him lots over at
Millers and have really made some progress with him!! We went thru
a few months of deciding who was the boss but I think he finally
figured it out!! He is super talented, it is just convincing him he
wants to use some of that talent…. He is really coming on his stops
and spins and we are finishing up his lead change!! I even hauled
him over to a feedlot and worked him in the round pen on cattle last
week. He is super cowy!! Almost lost me a few times!! I will
probably keep him going till end of October then turn him out to be
a horse for a while.
Anyways I just thought you might like an update and I am still
really enjoying Steady, we now call him Steady Eddy!!! I am hoping
to get to lots of shows next year. I may even try a few of the
central Alberta Cutting shows as there are a few close to me. I
will see if I get a better pic at the fall classic and send one on
to you. I really did not like any from Cardston.
Might
see you at the Supreme!!
Take
Care,
Bonnie

Don,
I don't know if it matters to you anymore but I wanted to let you
know that
I got this mare and her 2007 colt by EF Pepi Kola. I am so thrilled
that I
did too. What a lovely, lovely mare. And this colt is fantastic.
I have
only had them home for a couple of days but I am so very impressed
with the
colts temperament and "pretty". He comes right up for scratches
and is
bold and brave! I would very seriously like to consider breeding
her again
to your stallion next year if he still stands to outside mares.
Anyways, I just thought I would let you know.
